If an unexpected event occurs, our learning activities will change into a different format in order to solve the unexpected problem. For example, if a pandemic arises, many students must work from home. We can not make sure they can still learn successfully. When the pandemic arised, many universities made the switch to teaching online. But in the beginning, it did not work well, because most of the universities did not try to teach online before. When they first tried online teaching, it was totally different from face-to-face classes. Students could not get used to online teaching as well. Students complained about the inefficiency of online teaching. That’s why when the pandemic arised, students might get a relatively lower grade. But now it is different, most students get used to online teaching now, it has been at least 2 years online teaching for us. There won’t be so many problems occurring even if a pandemic arises right now. Students just need a period of time to adapt to this different teaching method. In fact, this teaching method itself is also a new attempt for most of the universities. There has never been a comprehensive online class on such a large scale before the pandemic. When we are teaching our students, for our interactive learning resource, we will change our quiz into an in-class quiz. We planned to do the quiz available for the whole week, but it’s important to make sure students can catch-up for weekly material. If they fall behind or have accumulated weeks of content without learning, our interactive learning resource will be a failure. An in-class quiz will examine students’ weekly learning outcomes, and it makes students learn our content weekly in a better way. So that our interactive learning resource can be successful even there’s an unexpected event occurs.

comment on my peer:My peer’s post 3 is a lot better than mine, we discussed the same problem, but he came up with a much better way. After reading my peer’s post, I think his way would be the best way to solve the problem. For my post 3, I only considered the assessment, but he is more thoughtful. He came up with these solutions such as an online learning platform, recorded lectures, online assessments and online support and communication. These are all effective ways to solve the problem. I agree with me peer’s plan.
